HAWAII -The exotic and beautiful Hawaii Island is another tops when it comes to romantic and honeymoon destination. With an ever-temperate climate and beautiful beaches, Hawaii is a destination of choice of couples and honeymooners.

    Some facts about Hawaii Islands:

HAWAII - is the United State's 50th State (admitted August 21, 1959). Looking at the map, Hawaii is so distant from the U.S. Mainland. From the gateways of San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle. Several airlines fly to Hawaii from the mainland United States. It takes about 5 hours to reach Hawaii. The very first thing a traveler will see from the air are several little islands, all of them comprising the Islands of Hawaii. It is located in the central Pacific Ocean. Its capital is Honolulu, and it is a home to more than 1.25 million residents. It is nicknamed "the Aloha State".

Here are a few facts about Hawaii (from Wikipedia):

    • the only state that is not geographically located in North America
    • the only state that grows coffee
    • the only state that is surrounded by water
    • is totally an archipelago (a chain of islands surrounded by water
    • the only state with a royal palace
    • the only state that does not have a straight line as boundary.

      THINGS TO DO IN HAWAII

Natural beauty. Hawaii's beauty is so natural that being in the midst of its presence, without doing anything else, is already a gift. Look at its azure skies, feel its moderate climate, feel its breeze, watch all the people enjoying its warm water, beautiful beaches, fresh harvest from the sea, the beautiful mountains, cliffs, ridges and volcanoes. What a treat in itself.Explore all the islands: Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and the Big Islands.

      Must do things:

      - to Visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. You can rent a car but there are also tour buses that you can use for about $100.00 fee.- if you want to see the lush vegetation and tropical forest of Hawaii, take the road to Hana. Hana Highway ends in the town of Hana. It is often called the Garden of Eden because of its beautiful and lush greenery, waterfalls, and clear blue skies. Taking this road will really present you with the wondrous beauty of Hawaii. Stay a night if you want, and take the road back. Be careful when you take this highway because there are other thousands of sightseers on the highway doing exactly what you are doing: admiring nature. This highway is two lane, with almost no straight road, lots of blind corners, and somewhat scary especially if someone decides to drive fast. There is the side of the mountain on one side and the cliff on the other. Be careful and be ready to be stuck in traffic if you do not plan ahead. That can happen since everyone visiting Hawaii has this in their "to do" list. Tour buses are available, for about $100.00 but if you want to stop along the way, renting a car is the way to go.

Our favorite hotel in this area:

Hotel Hana Maui and Honua Spa.

This is a 66 acre hotel on east coast of the island which is part of 4700 acre Hana Ranch. the cottages have jacuzzi on the lanai, and the surrounding is very calm and peaceful. Transportation is available to go to the beach to watch the sunset. A real treat! A real romantic get-away. Horse riding is available and excellent. So - if you want a real get-away from it all, this is the place to go.
