Breaking News: On Malaysia Airlines Flight 370: Chinese Satellite Images May Provide Clues

Posted March 12, 2014 355pm CST

Minneapolis, MN

The Chinese government today has released satellite images of three floating objects they believed may provide clues to the disappearance of Malaysia Airline Flight 370 that mysteriously vanished 5 days ago somewhere at the South China Sea. The images were taken by the Chinese government satellite on Sunday morning, March 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

The images may be the first clues to the disappearance of MH370 with 239 people on board. They were captured to the east of the initial search area, the body of water near Vietnam.

The three images captured were of the following dimensions:

  1. 42 ft x 59 ft.
  2. 46 ft x 62 ft
  3. 79 x 72 ft

Several rescue operations, including a U.S. Navy Ship will be deployed to the area in question. It is still early to stay whether those images may be of the MH 370 but the possibility exists. According to the former managing director of NTSB, Peter Goelz, the sizes of the images are consistent with the size of the aircraft. (CNN Television).
