The Human Resource Technology career has just evolved during the last few years. But even now, employers are undecided whether to keep the position under the Human Resource Department, or the Information Technology Department. Human Resource (H.R.) technologist are called by different names: Human Resource Analysts, Human Resource Information Analysts, a particular software that the company uses, i.e., SAP or People Soft Analyst, or other titles that will come up soon.
You can be a H.R. Technology Analyst by choosing either one of these degrees: Human Resource, or Information Technology. Employers, especially the large employers, prefer to hire four year degree holders, but if you have an Associate's Degree, that would suffice as an entry-level career path. While you are working, you may pursue your Information Technology or Human Resources Bachelors' or 4-year degree. Doing this will lead to more responsible job offer and a lucrative career within or outside the company.
